Terms of Sale

1. Purpose and seller

These terms describe the sale of licenses for the BeatCut software, published by Simon Andrade EI (“the publisher”, see the legal notice). Orders are processed by Lemon Squeezy, LLC, which acts as official reseller (“Merchant of Record”): Lemon Squeezy is the legal seller, collects the payment, collects the VAT and issues the invoice. Lemon Squeezy's terms apply to the payment; these terms set out the details of the BeatCut offer.

2. Offers

BeatCut comes in three editions: Free (no payment), Plus and Pro. Plus and Pro are offered as a monthly or a yearly subscription. The features of each edition are detailed on the pricing page and in the software (“Editions” window). All features can be tried in the software's preview before purchase; the edition determines what can be exported.

3. Prices and payment

Prices are shown in euros, including all taxes, at the time of the order. Payment is made online through Lemon Squeezy (bank card, PayPal or other methods offered). Subscriptions are charged at the beginning of each period (month or year) until they are canceled.

4. Delivery

The license key is sent by email to the address given when ordering, within minutes of payment. It is activated in BeatCut (edition button > “My license”). The software is downloaded from this website. Customers can find their keys at any time in their customer account, using the email address of the order.

5. License and number of computers

A license can be active on one computer at a time. It can be transferred to another computer by releasing it from the software (limited number of transfers; support may grant additional ones). Use of the software is governed by the End-User License Agreement.

6. Subscriptions: renewal and cancellation

A subscription renews automatically at the end of each period. It can be canceled at any time using the subscription management link received by email (Lemon Squeezy customer portal). Cancellation takes effect at the end of the period already paid for; no period that has started is refunded, unless otherwise provided below. When it expires, the software switches back to the Free edition; projects are not deleted.

7. Right of withdrawal and refunds

BeatCut is digital content supplied immediately after purchase. By confirming the order, you request immediate performance of the contract and acknowledge that you lose your 14-day right of withdrawal once the key has been delivered (Article L221-28, 13° of the French Consumer Code).

Goodwill gesture: we refund any first purchase within 7 days on simple request. For any request: support@beatcut.fr. A refunded license is deactivated.

8. Warranties

You benefit from the legal guarantee of conformity for digital content and services (Articles L224-25-12 et seq. of the French Consumer Code). In the event of a defect, contact support: we will fix it, provide an update or, failing that, refund you. A free version lets you check compatibility with your computer before buying.

9. Complaints and mediation

Any complaint can be sent to support@beatcut.fr. If the disagreement persists, you can use the consumer mediator free of charge: Société Médiation Professionnelle, www.mediateur-consommation-smp.fr, rue Marc Sangnier, 33130 Bègles, France, or the European online dispute resolution platform.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by French law, without depriving consumers of the protection afforded to them by the mandatory provisions of the law of their country of residence.
